Whiteside Router Bit Sets - Cheap

I spoke to the folks at Whiteside today after they became aware of my post and they were very generous in making arrangement to help me with the rust issue. While it is not their problem, they are taking care of it like the first class manufacturer they are.

Those of you that sent money will be contacted individually.

From all of the positive responses you're getting to that thread dealing with this issue over at WoodNet, I wouldn't worry to much about revealing any "issues". You might well be pleasantly surprised if you posted this same thread over at their Tool Swap N' Sell forum.

Could be true Dave I just wanted to keep everything as quiete as I can. I always take care of things but don't want people to be gun shy either. I even replaced that $40 pattern bit for the guy who noticed it was chipped after he used it. That's coming out of my pocket but just who I am.

I can't stand that practice! Dude, you have a certain cost and you should be able to sell your product for any darn price you wish! If I hit the Powerball, I'm getting a Whitesides contract, buying a truck load and selling them for penny each to you guys just to piss these price fixers off! LOL!

Jeff (who hasn't had a lottery ticket in years . . . sorry)

Edit : Though the fact that you are using their website could piss them off quite a bit . . .

As a consumer I hate it too but I do understand their point. There are different levels of overhead and the brick and mortar stores need retail to keep the lights on.

Woodcraft actually gets over list. A local store can get a little more from a consumer at times but the manufacturer doesn't want too much of a spread.
Ya, I argued it until I was blue in the face in Economics. I guess I should just get over it. Just seems that everything my wife is into is all about set prices, which eats at the bargin hunter in me.

BTW, nice deal on the sets. Very nice offer.
