    Hitatchi CB13F 12" Band Saw $149 @ Lowes

Just got back from my local Lowe's. They had the Hitachi CB13F 12" Band Saw on clearance. Regular price was $249, was on sale for $149. The Milwaukee, WI had about 5 left...

I'll have to swing by mine to check it out. I did find a forum for it at http://cb13f.cpu-etc.com

There were several people who say they picked one up on clearance for 120 way back in FEBRUARY- so I wonder if they're gonna be real hard to still find.

Was that the central Milwaukee store (5800 West Hope Ave)? I'm up in Appleton, but may have to find an excuse to head down that way. Been looking for a alright band saw at a reasonable price...

What is the Lowe's product code for this item, to enable calling and checking with them on availability.

Also, if you would be so kind to post the receipt, others could use it to get this deal.

        Thanks,
        David

LOL! Ya, about half the members here got in on the $120 deal. Great little saw and I am very suprised that there are some still around.

Using the Search function and the words "Hitachi CB13F" I found the following posts :

          http://www.bt3central.com/showthread...hlight=Hitachi

          http://www.bt3central.com/showthread...hlight=Hitachi

          http://www.bt3central.com/showthread...hlight=Hitachi

These post should give you about everything you need to know as far as the history of the deals on this saw.

            Yes, this was the store.

LOL - looks like I'm a little late! I'll post the receipt anyway, in case it might help someone. The computer said that the store had 6 left (now 5).

$120 for mine. Lowes may match it for you. I documented the assembly process.

For those who have this saw, are there other saws to compare at this price?

In fact, I am trying to give away my 9" Ryobi Bandsaw that I paid $99 for a couple of years ago. I even have a spare blade. If you can purchase this saw for $120, jump on it quickly. There have been some posts about the 12" Craftsman Saw on clearance for $149. They have some minor differences, but are almost identical to each other.

The next jump up will be the 14" Harbor freight Bandsaws which could be had for $229 on sale, but you are paying $100 more for the increased capacity.

                      Good luck in your search.

                        Thanks ejstefl!

I called Sunday to see if any were left... Ended up buying one over the phone - an ordeal I wouldn't wish on anybody. Will pick up tomorrow evening. Thanks to the posts here and links elsewhere, there is a lot of great info on this saw available.

One left at woodbridge, nj lowes

Well, was three days ago when last checked, before this clearance was on. I had my eye on this last year when others were getting the cheap deal. I watched and watched, asked and asked, brought in others receipts. Nope, the managers and etc. kept it at is "already clearance" price of $199. Wonder if they'll honor this go around.

the saw is on the ground, laying flat, in one of the power tool aisles, near the front of that aisle, towards the main aisle you would use to walk from one end of the store to the other. been there for months, kept watching, haven't been in there a few days, tho'

                          good luck.

                            Finally have the Hitachi

Picked up the CB13F on Thursday @ Central Milwaukee Lowes. The display was still available, possibly another. Put it together Friday - no problems at all, nice saw. Immediately took saw off of stand to add Herc-U-Lift. Here is a link to the associated saw forum:
                            http://cb13f.cpu-etc.com/cgi-bin/yab...=1132381331/15

Installed on the inside of the legs vs. outside. Worked great, no additional feet needed - uses rubber feet that came with saw.

Now will have to order riser kit and other fun stuff as well...

                            Thanx for all the help!
