There have been threads at Woodnet and Sawmillcreek about the above jointer. I had posted a question about the DJ-20 v PM 80B. Well they pointed me to the Shop Fox W1741 which is an identical mechanical cloan of the DJ-20. The DJ-20 is around $1200.
Well I ordred one earlier this month from a local retailer who quoted me a price of $695. I thought that was an incrediable deal. No shipping like I would have to pay with the identical Grizzly which sells for $750.
Well it came in today and I went to pick it up. Needless to say, HEAVY. 597lb shipping weight, my guess is the net weight is probably 525 or so!
Anyway, when he rang it up for me he sold it to me for $655. Most people on the other forums have been getting it for $650 - $700.
Folks this is a killer deal. If you are in the market for a jointer, consider the 8" Shop Fox W1741.
3 HP!
4 HSS knives x 4900 rpm
8 x 76" bed
These folks have info. Contact Shop Fox for local retailer.

Edit : Oh ya, you will need a 220v plug. AND THE MOTOR IS MOUTED TO THE BASE FOR SHIPPING PURPOSES ONLY! THAT IS NOT WHERE IT GOES. THE MANUAL DOES NOT TELL YOU THIS UNTIL YOU HAVE THE BED ATTACHED. YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE THE BED BACK OFF TO GET THE TWO BOLTS OUT NEEDED FOR ATTACHING THE MOTOR IN THE CORRECT SPOT.
