    Fine Woodworking Magazine

    at http://www.magazinesurplus.com/produ...d=481&catid=66 for $24.48/yr.
However the email receipt had the price as $24.17. Seems to be the best price around.

Thank you! I've been wanting to subscribe.. This is almost $10.00 cheaper than most of the price for 1 year subsciption out there. Kind of weary about the magazine sbscription site though, anybody have any experience with them?

I have been reading Fine Woodworking for years and for the most part I really enjoy it the best of all the magazines. I did however switch to the Online subscription. I have really enjoyed it for many reasons but mostly having just about every article they have ever done online, downloadable as a PDF and searchable is the biggest plus. I don’t know about you guys but searching through boxes of magazines looking for an article on how to do something is a real pain! You remember reading it but just can’t remember in what magazine it was in or even what year for that matter. Online I can search through the articles by keywords or even techniques.

Good point, Ken. The online subscription is one reason I've been looking for a bargin on the paper edition. Tauton has a low membership fee for the online one, for paper subscribers.

Was just looking as well, I'm thinking that I'll let the paper version lapse in favor of going with the online subscription. KG - you have both or just online?

Ken W, I let the paper one end and do only the online now. There are even more articles and features online than in the paper copy of the same issue and you can read the whole issue online as it comes out.

Kwgeorge, there's also the issue of getting perfect copies online. Every other month, the post office tears up my magazines and then the postman folds it to cram it into the mailbox. Good thing I don't collect them, they're in Poor condition at delivery.

I had a month trial but didn't get to far into it.
So, all of the articles in the current months paper subscription show up online? Are they grouped together or do you would you miss them unless you specifically searched for them?

Well take this new issue for example, it shows up on the right when I enter the site. If I click on it I go right to the contents for that issue. I don’t think I have found anything that is missing from the online edition verses the paper. In contrast though they do have many “Online Only” features.

Cool. I missed that feature. I think I will get an annual online subscription again.

Well, that didn't last long. The price is back up to $39.95 or am I missing something?
