    Kawasaki 19.2volt tool set

Was browsing clearance items at my local meijer. Found a 4 tool Kawasaki 19.2V cordless set for 99 bucks. I'm tempted to run back tonight and pick one up. Anyone have any experience with KawasakI?

Also, I thought it was a 5 tool set. but I can only find reference to a 4 tool set online. At any rate, the price looks good. I'm hoping better quality then the HF or other generic sets. Also looks to have 2 batteries....

I don't have any experience with that brand but what I've learned is that you get what you pay for, unless there's a really good sale.

Probably not too bad, about like any of the other off brands. Somewhere just under Ryobi/Craftsman, but not junk. The local Pep Boys carry the kawasaki line of drills, etc. For the price, I have thought about picking up the 19.2v drill for a spare.

Saw the drill on display while browsing Costco tonight. Thought I saw a price of $49 but, since I am not in the market for another set of cordless tools, paid no attention to what that $49 got you. I did notice that the battery releases from the drill better than any others I've fondled

          Kawasaki tools

There are two grades of these china made name/color hype up tools. The pod style batteries are 1.5Ah and the slide ons are 1.2Ah both low quality and capacity I do believe that a Ryobi 18volt one tool or a craftsman 19.2 volt power tools are a better buy but not top notch. If you're a weekend warrior type DIY person then you'll probably get ayears worth from the kawasaki. But when it come for a new battery where will you go when this tool no longer exists?? At least the ryobi or craftsman you'll get new batteries and not too costly. I own and use semi daily the ryobi 18 volt and can say that I'm ok with the quality and if some SOB steals them It wouldn't break the bank. The good stuff always gets locked up tight because the likelyhood of getting your stolen tools back are about as good as our SOB govenor lowering the state tax!!
