Discontinued Table tops at IKEA

Was in IKEA last night and they are clearing out a bunch of discontinued countertops/tabletops for 60% off list.
I picked up a beechwood solid table top that is 1-1/8" thick x 60" x 27-1/2" for $49 that I can likely use for a router table top, or at leat part of the top and still have a good piece left over.
This could be a local deal, but it's worth a look at your local store.

Good find. The Ikea by me usually always has table tops in the "as is" section for less than $20 but they are usually not that thick or solid wood. Most of the stuff I've seen is veneer over particle boards.

Last month, I bought couple of table tops, one for 10$ and another for 5$ and funny thing is I just had made the base for a workbench and a miter saw and it fit perfectly. Now, I have to go find something for a router table. Yes, normally ikea's "as is" sections has great stuff.

I checked the as-is, but they've changed it around here and all that was there were a bunch of super light laminate covered tops. These are extremely light weight and I find IKEA "particle baord" very poorly made. I think they use half the wood that actual particle board does with air as a filler. I missed out on a couple of solid wood tops awhile back because I went home to get my truck. Should have bought them and held for pick-up.

They did have a crapper load of drawer fronts for $5-10 each in their "Handy-Man" section. They are all light blue but appear to be painted solid wood in sizes from 12"-30" long x 5-6" high. Seems too high $ for drawer fronts though.
