    Makita SCMS

It looks like Makita SCMS are all on sale too.

Some of them have dropped a large amount.

Edit: They already scrolled of my list, here are the two: Makita 12" and Makita 10".

    Bret,

Thanks for the heads-up. I got this for around $485 a couple of months ago. I had some problems with it and had to exchange it. Maybe Amazon will refund the difference.

hello everyone. i am new to this board and only purchased once before from amazon. i never knew there were so many discounts available. my question is, can i purchase one of these saws at the lowered price, or am i out of luck because i didnt log into amazon fast enough to check out. it seems pretty shady to offer something for a good price for two seconds and raise the price before you can check out. is there any hope with customer service or are there unwritten rules for this sort of thing? thanks.

Heavydutytools is out of stock on the Makita. From what I have seen on the last couple of deals they had, if the item on sale looks like something you want, you better jump on it, b/c they sell out soon after.

REmember, one simple call to the Tool Crib at Amazon and the will match and beat by 10%. I picked up a 10" PC SCMS for half price when the matched - 10% of Tool Kings price.

Edit : Did you see the discount code at heavydutytools.com? "justsaynotoamazon" gets you $25! LOLOLOL!

That was a good price. Like others have said, the Amazon pricing gets me a little also. They had the compact Hitatchi 18v cordless drill/light kit for $60 shipped, I put it in my basket, and was going to order today, back up to $86. Missed the $111 Hitachi 3 1/4 router deal. Wish they would at least honor the price if it's in your shopping cart for 24 hrs.

What you are seeing is Amazons dynamic pricing model. Their system actually can change prices based upon sales volume. If they drop the price on an item and it starts selling like mad, then the system figures the price to be too low and starts moving it back up. 99% of the world will not notice this because they are not watching the prices on internet groups or frozenwarrier.com.
It's a pretty good system if you ask me. If it was my company or I was a stock holder I would want to know that my product was selling at what the market would dictate.

I agree it is a good system. I only buy what I need when it is close to the all-time low price. It takes patience, occasionally I need items quicker, but overall you can save a lot of money knowing that Amazon has huge price swings. Unfortunely, you can not predict with any certainty their big sales. The 30 day price guarentee is a small "insurance policy."
