davidtu, I would refuse the shipment. I doubt anyone is going to take you up on this as shipping will be pretty bad on these.

Greg, yep for a few hours they were like $17 = 20%.

Cody, I have not received confirmation on my kits yet. I have noticed that of my many, many Bessey orders that they are always slow to production. Kits or individuals, they always seem to take forever. I have Amazon Prime 2 day shipping and mine are still in Items Shipping soon. My estimated delivery date is 07/13/06 so I imagine they will go out tonight.

I am buying for friends, family and I am going to sell a couple of kits minus blocks on ebay.

I ordered (5) KBK2440 and (8) KBK2450. Like davidtu, I can offer to sell some of the individuals at cost plus shipping, but I think you may be better served waiting for another good deal plus free shipping. Shipping has just gotten sooooo bad.

I order the lg. cabinet set last night and just got a tracking #.

(I too like JS will probably part out the 24"ers, blocks and maybe two slightly used 40"ers - I already have two std. cab. sets but have found the 50" clamps would have come in handy.)

              PJC,
Did you not use the Bessey20 code for an additonal 20%? This kit comes up as a qualifying purchase.

(Note: As previosly stated, prices have gone back up and this list does not reflect the sale price of the kits that were had the past two days)

Yes, I did.....the quote does not reflect it because I used my Amazon prime account and the system would not allow me to enter the code. I called their customer service line and they refunded me the $16.80 it should have taken off.....my total cost 67.19. They refunded my card 8.99 and then put the rest in my gift certificate balance on my account.

Thanks for lookin' out for me though Greg.

Is that what they told you? If so it LIES, ALL LIES! Seriously, I have Amazon Prime account and it gave me the discount online. I have no idea why being Prime would block any code from working. Prime members are supposedly their better customers . . . . why screw them?
Glad you called and got your credit though.

BTW, I received my shipment confirmations 7:09 PM last night and are in the truck for delivery today! Not ideal timing as I woke up sick as heck with a stomach bug that is going around here real bad.

They didn't tell me that. What happened is I hit the "2-day free shipping" button when I ordered the clamps. It automatically orders your item and then gives you a link to view your order. I clicked that and then tried to apply the 20% code to the "apply discount" area of the order page. It kept telling me that the code was invalid. Hence, I had to call. Not a big deal though. They are very quick to put you through to someone and I got the discount!

                      Update :
Received a load of clamps today. I have to say that the new packaging is a substantial improvement over the old boxes they used that allowed so much damage. These new boxes are stronger and are about 5" x 5" x L whereas the others were cheap thin material with glossy printed labels. In the old package they were all shipped flat making for a much larger box.
The cool thing about this is that if you read the reviews of the kits on Amazon a lot of customers had complained about the quality of the box. One of Besseys representatives posted that he was looking into it. A little later he posted that they had changed vendors and now had a better box. I left a review on Amazon letting him know that I appreciate the customer service. That is above and beyond in my opinion.

That happened to one of the 60" clamps I ordered. I wanted a replacement but they were out of stock. Amazon gave me a $20 coupon and treated it as a return.

I don't need the clamp just yet so it didn't turn out to be a bad transation.

Are you saying that they told you to keep the damaged clamp for free?
You should get an email asking for the return of the defectve item or Amazon will charge you for the replacement. It may take them a while but their system sends out that message if you keep the item. My damaged purchases that if I do not send items back quick enough, Amazon generates such an email.
Maybe I am missing something. If the clamp is damaged and not useable what good is it to keep it and if it is useable then why would it be defective, and they give you a free clamp?
My damaged clamp would be still useable since it was only the end plastic stop that was broken.
I just returned one this week after I requested a UPS return label which they sent to me via. mail. Amazon has always been fair to me except for some third party screw-ups in wrong pricing.
                            Andrew

I got one of those a few months back when I had a defective XM Radio. I got the same $0.00 message when they shipped the replacement, buy I Amazon had to recieve the defective product within 30 days or I would be charged for both.

Yeah, guys I do have to return the defective clamp... I was just posting the $0.00 for amusement.

One clamp had a missing foot and a slight defect on the face of the bottom jaw. The other has a chuck of plastic chipped off of the top jaw. Both still quite serviceable, if I'd done it myself I'd keep and use them both.. but since I'm buying new merchandise and their packing is incompetently done, they can replace it for me.
