    sliding bar clamps 50% off

    have been wanting a few of these but always thought they were kinda expensive,this looks like a good deal even with shipping. All sizes too.

      NO, they can not be used as a fence, even though they say you can but they have side to side play, even after many "fixes". I suppose you could add a pair of top clamps to stop that but you are back to just a straightedge then. I have 1 back to back set I bought to try them. Never bought any more. They are just ok even as clamps.
      I bought the pro trugrip(made in USA)track/clamps. I have saw & router plate too, 4', 8', are expensive but very good construction, no flex even with the 8' one, but fair in set up ease, you need a set off block and square to cut sheet goods.
      Rockler has some in the sale flyer that maybe good . I do not really know. 50" is max length from them.
      As clamps they may be ok if you use enough of them and do not want alot of clamping force, but note they are very shallow in the pad area.
      I bought the back to back for a quick small fence or to aid in sanding. I almost never use them.
