HD Giftcard Form -- do you have to say "YES"?

    1) REMINDER: if you have not yet sent in your HD Powertool Giftcard rebate forms, they must be postmarked by 5/26!!

    2) Does one have to check & initial the two "Can we contact you..." items on the form to qualify. I have NOT checked them and assume its OK, but then again I have a haunting fear that it will disqualify me somehow as it says "Complete the form..." I'm sure this anxiety and subsequent surrender to their will is what they intend... can I safely resist??

    >>> THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO KNOW: DO I HAVE TO CHECK THE 'Yes Amazon can contact you" CHECKBOXES ON THE REBATE FORM to QUALIFY?? <<<

    Thanks!

also: I NEARLY forgot to include the UPC for the pneumatic nails that filled out my purchase be over $399... so do remember to include EVERYTHING... I would have shot myself.

Related to the gift card deal .............

I sent mine in about a month ago and have heard zippo!!! Has anyone even received their card yet? And if so, how long did it take?

Also. Is there anyway to track their receipt and processing activity online?

I am waiting for my $75.00 to ut toward a new thickness planer!

It says right on the form to "allow 4-6 weeks to receive gift card".

I have noticed a greater number of posts recently where folks are accusing others of Hijacking a thread or calling someone a forum policy. davidtu, I personally could not remotely see where tarheel hijacked your thread. It was completely relevant to the subject matter.

                  From Wikipedia :

Thread hijacking is the act of taking a forum discussion thread wildly off topic by discussing a subject entirely unrelated to the subject at hand.

Additionally, when someone posts a thread questioning how to use a tool in the Bargin Alerts section and someone politely advises they would be better addressed under tool talk the advising party is just being helpful. Making statements such as "Watch out here comes the forum police" or the like is just not necessary.

Edit : And please note this post is intended with only the purest sentiment of hoping that we can all get along nicely. I just don't want to see another woodnet (though it is getting more civil everyday!).

If you tilt your head to the left is is to resemble a smiley face. This was frequently used prior to the advent of icon smileys the you frequently see.
