The air requirements on the pin nailer you mentioned are 5.5cfm @ 90 psi according to Harbor Freight. Does it really take that much air to operate.
I like the price of the nailer, but I have a small compressor.

No, I think that must be a max CFM rate, if you were punching nails as fast as you possibly could. I too have a small compressor, and it doesn't even begin to break a sweat powering my brad nailer.
I called my local HF about this pin nailer (item # 93656). Unfortunately it is listed as mail order only (not in the retail stores). Was hoping to use the next 20% off coupon to score it for a little over $20. Looks like $8 shipping, so with the $5 off coupon it's a little under $30...not bad. Even includes a few hundred pin nails of various sizes as well.
Too bad they don't sell this at the retail stores, I think it would do well. I find it strange that HF always seems to have a wide assortment of various brad nailers for sale at the stores, but not certain nailers like this that they make only one model of.
I called the two Harbor Freight stores in my area and they did not stock them. I would like to order the nailer but they say the air requirement is 5.5 cfm and I have a small compressor. I would like to know if anyone has used this nailer with a small compressor before I order it from the net.
For mail order only codes, use the following link, codes are good for $5 off and a free gift. I don't know if they work for that sweet tower of garden frogs though.
I do not own this nailer, but I do recall there have been discussions on this forum in the past of how unrealistic the CFM ratings quoted by HF are. It seems there is a big "fudge-factor" built into their ratings that overestimates the CFM requirements on at least some of their nailers. Here is what i would do:
1.) Wait for a BT3'r to get his nailer and report on it's performance.
or
2.) Judge based on the performance of other air tools that you own if you have enough capacity. In other words, if your compressor successfully runs a brad or finish nailer, I can't believe it could'nt handle this pin nailer.
I used a code that got me $5 off plus I got 23" duffle bag.
Don't close the small window that pops up when you press on Apply Coupon button. Try all the codes one by one (click back button to go back to coupon page).

It worked for me for the micro pinner ($24.99).
I tried all of them and none of them worked. Did you have anything else in your cart besides the pin nailer? I had the pin nailer and 3pc square set.
