Do you have all your HD tools yet?

Reminder: the $35 rebate on $199 at Home Depot ENDS this Wednesday.

My local HD person in the Returns dept has agreed to allow me to do a paper return on my BT3100 as I bought it 3 days before the deal started. So, if you have any tools bought just before the offer, see if they will allow a paper return on it (ie. you bring in your receipt and they "return" it and "resell" to you, leaving you with a receipt w/ in the right date range). Keep in mind, though, you must do this DURING the offer period.

That is, get it all done by WEDNESDAY!

    Good news - bad news.

I went back to HD tonight and even though I bougth my BT3100 2 weeks before the promo started the manager allowed me to do the paper return and repurchase - great.

I then left all excited and when I read the rebate form it needs the orginal UPC -- AAAARRGGGHH!!! I have already disposed of the box!!!

Anybody got a spare BT3100 UPC code from a box?

I have long since sent my UPC to another member in need. Sorry about that.
I do have a question though.
      Just what tools are covered?
My receipt doesn't mention anything about this.
I had to by a Ridgid EB4424 belt spindle sander and I also bought the Ridgid ROS.
      Do these qualify?
      Thanks Guys.

My understanding is that any power tools (from hardware dept) and any pneumatics, INCLUDING fasteners such as nails in case you need to fill out an order to get $199. Sounds like yours was more than that though.

Thanks a bunch. I sent it off anyway. We'll see how it goes. I almost snoozed on this deal.

I had quite a day today at HD myself. I'd previously bought the Ryobi 12" DP (they had two signs one for $169 & one for $149, guess which I chose?) along with a router and a 1/4 sander--the latter both of which I returned later. On a separate purchase I had the Bt3100 purchased 3 days prior to the giftcard program start date for $250. Today I went back with the intention of getting two new paper returns--one for the BT3 and one for the 12" DP--I was trying to move the DP into the date range for the new Ryobi $30 back on $150 giftcard program that started 4/27, since I'd returned the other items on the same receipt and dipped below $199 already. Are you still with me?!

So, the return lady "screwed up" and gave me a single receipt for today for the DP & BT. Assuming the DP was going to ring up at $149 on its own receipt, and being afraid that the cutoff was $150 (she wouldn't let me run back and check) I even asked her to do my original $20 markdown on the DP over again as $19 to hit $150. (I was right, btw, the Ryobi cutoff is $150.) BUT she put them on the SAME receipt and so I go over to Customer Service to get a duplicate, which they can't really do, apparently. So I thought I was a lame duck on getting two giftcards ($35 & $30) and I probably was... only then I noticed the HD giftcard $75 cut off is at $400 even, and here I am sitting on a receipt for $399, combined against my will and a dollar short. To make my long story here a little shorter, one disgruntled manager "we've redone this twice, this is a third time, there will be no more" and one set of pneumatic nails later added into the price got me the DP & BT for a grand total of $20 full markdown + $75 = $95 off instead of the $85 I was fighting for! Whew, thanks lady!! I'm going to count it as BT for $224 and DP for $99 (which it is probably only worth anyway!)

Anyway, that's my story... got lucky... but HD is pretty good about paper returns, I guess. So if you bought just outside the dates, go ahead and do the paper return... or you might try to do combo return like me today (albeit by accident) ... but do it before WEDNESDAY!

HD in my area (Portland, OR) had same price mistake on the DP120. There were 3 different stickers/tags around the DP. The sticker on the rack said $169 but a tag on the DP said $149. There was another price marker on it somewhere. So, I got $20 off plus I got 20% coupon discount. Plus I used a HD gift card which was purchased with 20% discount. So, final price out the door was $90. I'm sending it for $30 Ryobi rebate. With that my DP120 costs me only $60.

I went to the store couple of days later. They corrected the price on two stickers but a tag on the DP still said $149.

                  It expired April 30.

I scored a Mig Welder with an hour before they closed on the 30th (an original copy btw from a friend who works there but the cashier seemed like she would have taken a b+w photocopy if I gave it to her.

That aside, the gift card rebate didn't dawn on me until yesterday. Does anybody know if a Mig welder qualifies? I would think its a "power tool", no?

I'll be heading over there today anyway to pick up a rebate form.

                  Thanks,
                  Greg
