I would check out Lowes for a FT 2200 @ $129.00 over a refurb models at $119. Warranty is much better!

I went to two local Lowe's stores yesterday to get the 2200 and both stores said the item was on "manufacturer buyback" which means Freud took them all back. There is a ft3000 coming out soon to replace this model.

Some of them bought the Ft2200 for 75$ at some lowes. I went to the local lowes (chicagoland) to do pricematch with the receipt but they would not do it because the receipt was from Indiana. Anywayz, here they are selling the FT2200 for 129$ and they said that it is not on clearance.

got mine yesterday. Man, that is one ugly utilitarian router. Thankfully it will spend its remaining days as a workhorse on the uderside of a table.

now to find the thread on removing the springs etc...

any deals on a router raizer to go with it?

I have a feeling this is why Amazon sold them a month+ before being shipped. They are probably shipping off all the buy-backs. Too coincidental for me...

Amazon was selling the FT2000. Lowes was selling the FT2200.
