Woodcraft Brass Router Bushing Set $18

    http://www.woodcraft.com/family.aspx...lySpecial=True

Seems pretty darn nice and cheaper than the average PC compatible set which is normally around $30.00.

To my knowledge, all DeWalt routers accept the standard, 1-3/16" Porter-Cable type guide bushings (which is what this set is). I can tell you for certain that they'll fit my DW616, which uses the same base assembly as the 618.

To be absolutely sure, check the plastic subbase on your router. If you find a stepped hole with a 1-3/16" diameter, you're good to go.

I have that Set and one other one from a different maunfacturer, hence I've been able to make a direct comparison between the two sets.

My finding is that the subject set (.240 barrel) is much better because there's a very low limit to the thickness of the Template material that can be used with it.

The other Set is such that you have to be careful as to the material that you select to make your Templates from because of the varying height of the Guide bushings.

Bought a set last week. I have a Dewalt DW618B3, as well as a DW616. The Woodcraft brass bushing set fits both routers perfectly! (I had the same concern, so I took own of my bases with me when I bought. The brass is far superior to the steel bushing(s) that came with my PC4212 DT jig. (The brass ones stay tight even with just finger tightening.)

Good buy and a great set,

            Wayne

Anyone know if Woodcraft has these on sale every few months or did I just miss my chance at this price?

Looks like these are nice, and I've about decided that this is the set I want. I'm sure they are worth the regular price, but I love a deal...
