Or should I say, "what a steal!" I had been eyeballing (and coveting I might add) some Bessey 24" K-clamps and read one of the other posts saying Woodcraft had them on sale for 40% off. I called immediately and of course, they were completely sold out. There happens to be a Lowe's close by my office so at lunch today, I mosey on over there and sure enough, they had four 24" Bessey's in stock, but at their regular price of $34.95. I told the young man there that Woodcraft had them on sale for 40% off and would they match. He obviously knew nothing about woodworking, he had never heard of Woodcraft, so I gave him the number of the local store and had him call to verify the price. He did and then told the cashier to take 40% off the Lowe's price, not match the Woodcraft price!! Final analysis, $20 a piece for a great clamp. Maybe I should go back and see what other lengths they have...hmmmm.....

My local Lowes has 50's, 40's and 24's. Wished they had 60's and I could find a cashier and manager like the one you found!

I find that the price for Besseys are $35.99 for 24" at WC or $32.40 when bought 4 or more. 40% off that figure seems that it would be right around $20.

I called the Harrisburg PA store and they know nothing of a current 40% off sale, only the big sale last year.
