    Just heard about a special the HD in Scottsdale is having on 4/17 from 9:00am to 2:00pm. DeWalt is going to be there with food etc., and a special 10% discount on ANY DeWalt product.

    I'm in the market for a planer. Heard good things about the DeWalt 735. Does this deal seem as GOOD a buy to you as it does to me, or is my math off?

    That is a pretty good deal on the DW735 but you haven't quite spent enough money yet. If you go with the planer, I recommend that you also buy the DW7351 Infeed/Outfeed Table accessory. IIRC, they normally sell for around $50 regular price.

            DeWalt DW7350 Stand

            Jocko, my wife bought me the stand for an anniversary present. It is very nice however the foot operated lift mechanism is a little awkward to use. For what it cost, I doubt if I would have bought it for myself.

            If you don't feel like building a stand and have the room for one, the Ridgid Miter Saw Utility Vehicle(MSUV) would be a good choice for a planer stand. That is of course if they are still on sale for $99.
