BORG Tool Event - Marginal Value

Receive gift cards for power tool purchases as follows :

    Spend Receive
    200-399 35
    400-599 75
    600-1999 125
    2000+ 500

    The $500 off $2000 is pretty decent @ 25% disount. 125 off 600 = around 20% as well.

Wondering whether I can combine 20% coupon with this deal. Buy for $250. You get $50 discount + $35 GC. It is 34% savings...

If this works, one can get BT3100-1 for $165.

Always worth a try.. Good luck and let us know of the outcome.

I think getting the 20% accepted would be the hard part. If that is accomplished, I don't think you are going to have a problem with the gift card rebate portion.

Is this cummulative? What I mean is can I buy multiple tools that add up to that price or is it just for a single tool?

Quite sure it is total purchase of power tools.

I'm going to try this on Friday evening or on Saturday.

I noticed that even router bits ie. accessories are OK. Anything under Power Tools category should be eligible. Just make sure after any coupon discount, the tools cost should be atleast $200.

                  I was at a BORG...

last night and I asked about the 20% and the gift card. It is based on total tool value spent to determine the gift card amount, and the gift card is a mail in rebate while the 20% off is store related. So go for it, as someone else said if they accept the 20% the gift card is a cinch. That is at least according to my BORG.
I am in shape. Round is a shape!

One HD was off of my list. The head cashier said he will not accept it (20% coupon) even though I had the original one. Not a print out of any kind. He said he will accept 10% coupon but not this because these were issued to employees and only they can use them.

There are 3 more HDs within 15 miles range. Lets see what happens there...

I hit another HD store this evening and had a smooth transaction. Bought few Ryobi tools (10" drill press, Ryobi 40pc router bits, dremel) for about $260 and got 20% off of it! I paid for these using HD GC I had. Noticed there was another deal going on currently. If you apply for HD CC, you get 10% on your first purchase. I wasn't sure whether they will let you stack coupons. In the past, it didnt work so didn't take chance...

Yeah, I was hopping they would actually have some tools on sale. I am in the market for another Ridgid drill to match my 12V that I got last year for some incredible price.
