I Like it!!
I just got this last week....took 2 weeks before was shipped and paid $29.99.
I've used it just a little since I've had it...been cold here...but it really is much easier then the HF digital calipers. I also got the Fast Cap storybook tape measure...its very cool cause you can just make you marks on it or leave yourself notes...IIRC it was less then $10.00.
Does Amazon refund price difference like the BORG or everyone else does??
I'm at work and we have this **** Websense and Amazon is blocked. The truth is just the truth. -
Great Customer Service
Well I shot Amazon Cust Service an e-mail this am and at lunch today I had a replay that because the sale was so close to the price drop...like 20 days though...that they have credited my CC with the $11.00 difference in price. I think thats great cust service!!
Of course the web site today shows the calipers unavailabe today...lolThe truth is just the truth.Comment

That is an awesome deal. But, they say the item is no longer available? Maybe the offer was limited to what was in stock.Brian

It looks like the one I picked up off Ebay last year. It is a nice tool that's why I wanted another one. Too bad.Brian

They have an 8" digital caliper on clearance for $30.45. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...lance&n=228013
Slightly larger than the dial caliper, which they charge extra for anyway, plus digital readout. Seems like a good deal in place of the dial version.

I have that one too. It works well and they sent a calibration report with it that I thoght was impressive.
The dial indicator was of interest because it was fractional.Brian

Cody,
The Fast Cap tape you purchased, was it the flat model. I've been thinking about getting one, but wonder if the material stretches after time, screwing up the measure.
Thanks in advance for the answer.

Bruce sorry for the delay in posting...people keep coming in wanting to get they're cars serviced...sure cuts into my web time.
But to answer your question no I have the metal one...I was wondering the same thing as you and thought I'd just try it first...the price was right as I had a gift card to spend.
I like it and will probably buy the cloth one next time I need to fill and order from Amazon. It doesn't hold itself out very well but the numbers on it are very easy to read and making marks right on it perfect....I haven't touched another tape since I got it.The truth is just the truth.Comment

Cody,
The Fastcap Tape we've been talking about is metal, not cloth (nifty), got one from Amazon for $5.90. Cool tape, rubber coated case, dual locks and it matches up with all my other measuring stuff.
But the best is that its flexable metal, so no strech as in cloth.
Definitely worth the $6.00.
