    knife screws

    Pirinst,

Thank you for the informational tip! I came home today and checked mine. They were snug, not as tight as I thought they would be. Greased 'em anyhow, and should be good to go. One quick question, where did they have the spring attched to on yours? (I checked mine and it seems to be where it should be.) Just wondering.

The reason I chose the ap3000 was after reading through this site and others, and I felt like it was a good peice of equipment for the price.

    thanks again,

    don

Just to add to the sightings of the new model, the HD closest to my work has the 1300 on display, but the box in the rack was a 1301. Boy, that would be a disappointing purchase for someone not noticing it.

Same thing in the Richmond, VA area. I know someone who has to exchange his 1301 for a 1300.

The spring was behind the lever so it wasn't

pushing on the lever which was supposed to keep tension on the chain.

I loosened the thing enough to fit the spring the correct way.

The spring was not pushing the tensioner

from behind. It was loose on the wrong side of the tensioner, so the chain was loose.
