Receipt for Hitachi DP

Several people have inquired about the receipt for the hitachi DP. It seems they got deleted in the migration over to the new forum software. Not a complaint just an observation; I love the feel of the new forum. Anyway, sorry for the delay in reposting. After some computer woes I was finally able to get back to it. So here it is I hope it still is good use for peoples out there:

Thanks for the post! I ended up finding a Lowe's here in Charleston, SC (James Island store) that had one in stock and one on the floor, they still had it at $199. I called and explained the situation to the service desk and they transferred me to one of the managers. I mentioned the two stores that sold them for $100 and he said he would see what he could do and call me back. He called me back in 20 minutes and said he would match the price. After I got to the store that evening, they could not find the one in stock (they looked for 30 min.) so they offered me the floor model for $75! Long story short... before I checked out they had found the one in the box and still gave it to me for $75 (maybe b/c the whole process took about an hour and half). I will try to scan the receipt on Mon. and post it here. If anyone is nearby, they still have the floor model left. Thanks again for the info.

!!!! I went to the James Island store on 2/20/2006, and they wouldn't match the $129 price for me! I had a picture and everything.

Thanks a bunch. I was able to get it for $100 at the Clinton, MD store. As of noon they had 3 left. Now I just need to find a Lowes with the Band Saw.

I would be interested in seeing a scan of the receipt for the James Island store! I'm out in West Ashtray and would leave work now for a $75 dollar DP.

I picked up the floor model from the east Fort Worth, TX store for $100. It was complete except for a missing chuck key. I can scan the receipt if anybody needs it.

$75 Receipt

I am having some trouble reducing the image to a size that I can post. PM me and I can e-mail anyone that wants it. Hope this help. I spoke with John G. (Operations manager). I am sure he would go down to at least $100, I think the only reason he gave it to me for $75 was because the whole ordeal took about an hour and a half. Good luck!

Another DP owner. I was able to have it price matched to $129 in the Montgommeryville store. They called Plymouth Meeting to confirm. Sales associate Bill (nice guy) was more than helpful and eager to move it. He said they haven't been selling and he has asked management to drop the price for some time.

To the members who live in Illinois. Store in Bloingbrook and Naperville each have two in stock. Both store have 1 unit on display and one in the box. The problem is that the price is still at 199.00

I picked one up at the Naperville store about a week or so ago. They price matched $129 without batting an eye.
