HD 20% off cpn thru 4/30/06

    Hi Everyone,

Here's a coupon for 20% off at the BORG.
I couldn't attach the .bmp file because it exceeded the max file size for attachments, so here's the URL that I got it from.

Dang, I just bought three Herculift's today....

Hey guys, I thought this was a new offer from HD, not another copy of an employee coupon. I am not using this one, just for the record.

Now you can get them for $22.20. You can't even buy a good caster set for that. Maybe I will have to buy something else, or maybe I can get Lowes to match this....hmmm....I need some quiet time to plan...

Wow! Do these really work? Are they pretty much accepted or do they question source etc?

It does not work. HD rarely accepts computer printout coupons. This coupon requires manager approval and he/she most likely would reject it.

A trick that worked for me in the past... first goto special services and show the coupon to them and ask if they accept it. If they say yes... then tell the person at the checkout that special services said they would allow it.. if the person rejects it.

Or buy one from eBay (don't forget to ask the seller for real ones not color copy or printout). I bought several them and I try different HD whenever I need to use it.

Note the bold text "Void if sold, copied, or transferred..."

This was a hot thread about a month back and Sam put the brakes on it due to some heated debate. I used one and then I stopped after the legitimacy issue was brought up. I would rather take my chances with an HF coupon at the BORG. They may be more difficult, but I know that they are legit.

Well, it works at my HD. I just used this on my new BT3100. $212 out the door. I just cut off the top half of the coupon though. Didn't want the cashier reading the fine print!

Or bring it to Lowes, they have price matched HD coupons in the past.
              Thanks,
              Pete

I bought 3 of these off ebay for $15 total, and I am fairly sure they are printouts of an original coupon scan, so I made hi-res scans and printed several extras myself.
So far, I used two of them.
One was to buy a Dewalt 3-base router kit - saved $56.
The other one was for a rather large purchase - 2 full carts of stuff, totaling over $1000. The coupon knocked over $200 off the price.
In both cases, manager approved the coupon without even looking.

Even though it says 'void if copied, transferred, etc', I think that Home Depot actually encourages their distribution. The philosophy is simple: a lot of things that HD sells can be found at many other stores. For building materials, Lowe's is generally the only other choice - but for tools, appliances and such, there are other places to go to. And HD would rather you take your business to HD.
For example, I considered ordering the router kit from Amazon for $250, rather than buy from HD for $280, but with 20% off coupon, I got it from HD for $224. I am sure HD still made a profit, and getting my $224 was a lot better than if my money went to Amazon instead.

Stupid, stupid, stupid... I had one of these... got the Ridgid Mitre/Nailer Combo marked down to $199 plus 20% off for $160... never even thought of scanning it. Isn't that cheating?

Another store had the BT3KIT, but wouldn't transfer it to the Miter/Nailer Combo store, so I still "need" a coupon :-)

Seems to me that someone would just photoshop out the last few lines. Or would that be too dishonest?

this seems to be a hit or miss thing,
technically only the authentic ones given to employees are valid, but many sores seem to accept them, maybe it depends on location, their quotas/sales goals that month?local competitors, or just on underpaid cashiers who could care less or want to give out the discounts(assuming they dont get nailed for accepting them)

there've been huge threads on slickdeals with some people getting turned away and others getting it honored. lowes will usually honor it but some only give 10%max apparently.

by all means if you buy it on ebay make SURE its an original!!you can get the images anyplace, heck ive got it in jpg,pdf and word doc lol. i havent tried using one yet but will give it a shot this week to get the ridgid spindle/belt sander if its a no go i'll buy authentic one on ebay.

                      heres teh SD thread http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=181700

Thanks - I didn't know what it was. I thought it was another HD store.
                            Thanks again,
