    HF DC 2HP

Lot Number 45378 in sales circular and online REgualr $249.99 on sale for $169.99 - 10% coupon = $152.99.

First, is this the DC from HF that is so highly regarded? Second, is this the low price point for this machine?

    Yep, that's it.

And I think that, yep, that's the low price. At one time you could find it for $159 or even $149, but that hasen't happened in about a year, IIRC.

If at first you don't succeed, deny you were trying in the first place.

          How about if you use 45378-5cdh + coupon# 478-747-421. You'll get it for $159.00 + extra $5.00 off + free duffle bag(special gift offer item 46209-1cde).
          = $154.00 + free duffle bag.

Let them keep the duffle bag. It smells like burnt tires and would only be good for carrying dirt...but then your hand would smell like burnt tires so it really is of no use. Many items from HF have this stench.

              You've been warned...

I have this DC in my shop and it's some of the best $$ I spent. Regarding price, I had a 20% off coupon sometime last year and used it. It was not on sale at the time. I think that's a decent price, especially when compared to Jet or other offerings. HF also has an accessory kit you can buy. I was dumb and paid full price for it, but have seen it for as low as $29 and change. It comes with 2 sections of 4" hose, blast gates, a hood, hose clamps, etc.
                  Good luck,

The box says 47911, but online, it doesn't show up. You may want to give them a call.

FWIW - The Acc kit is in the most recent HF sales flyer I got yesterday, I believe it is on sale for $39 which does not seem like much of a sale, but maybe my memory is off. When I bought my DC, I also got the kit and for some reason the kit rang up as $24. The DC was in a HF ad in WOOD (I think) mag a while back at $159 and the ad expired April 2006. Thats the ad I used (with a 20% off coupon) when I purchased my DC.

Also, the Bags on the HF DC are pretty pourous @ 30 microns. That really is not good protection from fine dust. You are best off upgrading those with a tighter bag, so figure that into your cost. Highland HW sells a shaker felt bag for $29 (each - you'd need 2). I think PSI also has some that may be cheeper, and also Grizly. Just something to consider / factor in. Some have also gone with the wynn cartridge conversion kit.

if one is to spend extra money for bag upgrade, cartidge conversion is the way to go. My wynn filter has been great but any other cartridge is significnatly superior to bags.

I may be the only one but my motor died after about 2 months use . They cheerfully gave me a new one which works fine. It prompted me to purchase the 2 yaear extended warranty for an extra $30. The acc. kit is pretty handy as the flex hose alone is about worth the price. It is pretty heavy duty.Warehouse Tools.com is a ggod place for the fittings if you need more
