I've had this saw for a little over a year now. I bought a Freud 96-tooth blade and have had excellent results. I use it all the time for cross-cutting. The only negatives are it only bevels to the right and the trigger/handle are really just made for the right hand (sometimes I like to use my left hand).
That's an excellent price - I got mine for about the same price but it was an open box that was marked down several times + 10% off weekend + craftsman weekend.....

I called every Sears in the DFW area to try to find a match to that price, and no way. They did have it marked down to $549 at the Duncanville store. Anyway, I don't need it as I already have a 12" slider, but I was still curious. If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.Comment

I just checked with the Sears Hardware Store in Laurel Springs, NJ they said that this is a disontinued item and not carried in the store but can be ordered. The price was $599 but will be $549 on Friday. They also said there is no replacement for this saw.Comment
