Sears Craftsman 12" Sliding Miter Saw

Sears Craftsman Professional 12 Inch Sliding Compound Saw, 21292, $160.97 closeout at Valley Stream Sears store in Long Island, NY. Haven't checked other stores, but there were a few there.

Andrew, as in the original post, 21292 is the model #. Was $590 a couple of months ago.

I've had this saw for a little over a year now. I bought a Freud 96-tooth blade and have had excellent results. I use it all the time for cross-cutting. The only negatives are it only bevels to the right and the trigger/handle are really just made for the right hand (sometimes I like to use my left hand).

That's an excellent price - I got mine for about the same price but it was an open box that was marked down several times + 10% off weekend + craftsman weekend.....

I called every Sears in the DFW area to try to find a match to that price, and no way. They did have it marked down to $549 at the Duncanville store. Anyway, I don't need it as I already have a 12" slider, but I was still curious.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

I also checked the local Sears and asked for a price check and it came up at $599, looks like you got a great deal.

I just checked with the Sears Hardware Store in Laurel Springs, NJ they said that this is a disontinued item and not carried in the store but can be ordered. The price was $599 but will be $549 on Friday. They also said there is no replacement for this saw.

I checked the local Sears in Central NJ, none to be had. I should have made the drive to valley Stream a few days back, would have worth it. I called today and the tool man said they were now gone.

I have 2 of them still in the box; I'm in Long Island NY and they would go to BT3 members at what I paid plus actual shipping if not a pickup.
