Hank's (leehljp) "30 Pieces of Silver"

Hank, seems your "30 Pieces of Silver" pen has had a resurgence of popularity over on IAP: http://www.penturners.org/forum/f13/...13/index3.html

Thanks Bill. I went over and read the comments. That thread was started in 2008!

Its a timeless classic. Hope you have a chance to set up your pen turning again in the near future.

That is a nice pen. I may have to "borrow" your technique for the silver solder inlay. I am also playing around with burning and various inlays (turquoise, etc) to make the pens more interesting.

          You are an inspiration Sir!

I am always interested in new techniques and designs. Go for it! And I would love to see the inlays.

I created one pen that I called the PenStripe (looked like New York Yankee Pin Stripe). After I wrote how I did it, several wrote me asking for clarification. I did. They still were not able to create one. So I decided to make a second one and document each step. I made 6 blanks that were horrible. My conclusion is that I just got PURE lucky on the first one!
