    I'm back (again)

I think I made a similar post almost 5 years ago when I got back from Hawaii and bought a house in Maryland and setup shop. I put in a wood floor and had a subpanel with every outlet on a dedicated circuit. Thought I was ready for business. Since then the shop accumulated a bunch of junk while I was busy cutting down trees and constantly doing yard work or making bullets when it was cold outside. Well, the shop is clean again, I think all the mice are dead or gone, Found a snake skin hanging from the ceiling (hope it's gone), cleaned the rust of the table saw and built a small shelf out of scrap lyptus. I need to make few more for my son so he can get all his lego creations off his dresser. Still have to clean some rust off a few more tool tops and probably get a few table saw blades sharpened. I spent 30 minutes trying to get my router out of the plunge base last night but got it out and put it in the router table so I could make the keyhole cuts in the shelf. Didn't use a featherboard so it's not perfect and I made them in opposite directions. Luckily it still mounted on the wall. Guess I gotta knock the rust off the brain housing group too. So after a 9 year hiatus I am hoping to be in the shop more often and visit this site much more often.

Just reloading. My stock pile is a little backwards. I made the most pistol ammo because it's fastest and cheapest not to mention a little powder goes a long way. And I have more 308 match ammo than 223. As long as Hillary doesn't win I won't have to worry about running out of powder and primers again for a while.

My oldest decided to buy a pre64 Winchester '94. Thus rekindling my interest in the shooting sports. Also teaching my youngest to shoot. Thanks to the supply problems with rimfire I am considering finding a small caliber centerfire and just having having him shoot cast bullets. I can reload cast for under 10 cents a shot and that is with a gascheck bullet. If I can find a plain base mould I can drop the price another 3 cents. Of course this is after buying the rifle, dies and mould if I already don't have one plus brass and using small charges of fast burning powder.

It seems pretty unbelievable how 50 rds of 22lr can cost more than a brick did not that long ago. I guess with people buying them by the pallet and reselling it doesn't take long to eliminate the supply and jack up the demand. I use Montana gold for 9mm and 45 acp. Sierra Match kings for my 308 and Remington or Winchester FMJ's for 223. And I get all once fired brass on gunbroker for my pistol ammo. I do shoot some 45 Colt cast bullets in my 460 once in a while but haven't got dies for that yet.
