Mine is 4. I replaced my gas water heater today and needed 3 trips to HD to get all the right parts and a 4th trip to return all my extras.
I was trying to reuse the cold water shutoff valve--ball valve type--and I thought all was good after I had soldered in a new tee for the expansion tank. It held water fine, but when I opened it up to fill the tank, water started to drip. This was my first time soldering copper. Quick search showed me that I probably put too much heat on the valve body and probably melted the Teflon seal. I had to take it all apart.
On my 3rd trip, I bought 2 different Shark bite shutoffs and one CPVC (my house is CPVC and only copper at the WH) shutoff. The Shark bites were too long so I ended up using the CPVC one which was actually the cheapest and and easiest solution.
Took me all day to get it right but really wasn't that hard of a job.
