    Running Cable Signal to garage

So I'd like to set up a TV in the garage. Yes I know.

I'd like to be able to watch my att uverse channels, surf the web, and play the occasional woodworking dvd (I have several build along ones). The last 2 are pretty simple. I'll use an old comp and run some cat 5 to it. I'm trying to figure out the best way to do the first. Initially I was thinking about using a wireless hdmi kits. Like this . But the distance from the tuner to the tv is pretty far with several walls. It's a pretty expensive product, which I don't mind spending but not if it won't work. Other option is a homerun type device. I can run ethernet to the computer in the garage so I don't have to worry about wireless problems. But I'm not certain these type of devices work with uverse. I'm double checking but uverse I believe is IPTV and doesn't use cable cards.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

I have a ATT Uverse Wireless receiver for the shop which is about 60 feet from the Residential Gateway/Modem in my den. Works great also use it on the patio. It comes with it own wireless access point which is plugged into the Gatway. I can use my laptop, iPad out in the shop and have Interned access with not problem. Save a lot a hassle. I traded in the wired receiver in the guest room for the wireless so the overall cost is the same. Check it out.

Like Tom, I have a wireless receiver and a WAP plugged into the Gateway. It works great. I can put it anywhere in the house. Cost is around $10/month from ATT. It's worth it.
