    Attila returns

I was horrified to see that the last time I posted was 26 April 2007!

A lot of water has flowed under a great many bridges since then, and I have been unable to spend much time in my workshop.

Forgive me, Father, my BT3000 hasn't been spun up for over a year.

Having retired (I thought), I was dragged back to the trenches to give some strategic advice, "For no more than three months, honest!"

That was in August 2011! I expect to leave at the end of October.

Which means i might just be able to clear all the accumulated 'stuff' out of the 'shop, and get to work.

Looking forward to spending some more time on here after then

So, for now, hi to all who knew me. How many are left? I just emailed Lee (the Shark). Great to see that his small enterprise has grown. His ZCTPs are still hanging over my saw, just waiting for me.

    'til then ...

    Welcome back!

I think it's awesome that members from the early years of the site are checking in again. I learned so many things from so many great people early on.

Great to see your posting again! Keep posting; I always enjoyed your posts! I have moved a little closer (from Japan to back to the US) to you since the last time you posted!

AND, I know the retirement feeling! Retired from one work and now double the work back here in the USA because of my experience over there.

Welcome back. Don't ever retire long term. Only then will you wonder how you ever had time to work for a living.

Howdy, Attila! You popped into my head a few days ago when I was wondering what happened to some of the other old timers.

Good to see you are still alive and kicking.

Thank you. In truth it is the invented motto of the Royal Mechanical and Electrical Engineers (REME), given them by fellow soldiers whose vehicles have suffered their ministrations.

I think it was ex-REME electricians who designed TVR's wiring system. The early cars has all black looms!

Mind you, they might have been Kiwi rugby players.

PS - Rugby is the origin of American Football, but they don't wear armour.
