    Just a little gloat

A family friend separated from her common law about two years ago. He was interested in woodworking a little and had an average stocked workshop. He didn't have space to move his shop and it wasn't an issue to leave it behind until it could be collected. Fast forward, this fellow has moved to Europe and has told his ex to do what ever she wants with the contents( he wasn't interested in any of it). So last night I went over to inventory what he had left behind and help her price it for Kijiji.

Now for the gloat. She had a Oneway scroll chuck that had never been used-sold it to me for half the price of new. For helping she gave me dozens of pen kits along with a load of pen making supplies and blanks. I also walked out with around 45 bdft of red oak, 45 bdft of black walnut, and smaller amounts of locust, bloodwood, and curly maple- all at no charge.

Yes I know I suck, but only a little bit this time.

You are WRONG Sir!! You suck a LOT!!

Your good deed has been rewarded, and it was probably a fair deal for both of you. Just feels better to you 'cuz you had no expectations--and in my mind that's the right thing to do for a friend.
