I got to go on a service call today for a very specialized vineyard tractor near Santa Maria, Calif. in some beautiful countryside. Usually I'm at the shop or standing in a flat, hot field somewhere taking field notes on an engineering project.

That is specialized! Is that a J. Deere? Was there an attachment in the rear for picking grapes or other use? Love the shiny diamond plate tool box with rusted out hinges, lol
It's a JD cab but the tractor was built by the company I work for. It'll outperform its European competitors 2 to 1 with a harvesting module attached. It can also have sprayers, netting machines, pruners, etc attached.

That is very cool! Wine grape growing is especially persnickety so having the ability to use all those other attachments on one tractor is probably a major selling point.
I often follow tractors like that on my home from work. They lease themselves out to the various farms for spraying the crops. If they were a little taller, or if I had a slightly shorter car, I could pass underneath instead of around them!
