Pencil Pull

Here's a little item I ran across while at HD. It's a clip on retractable pencil holder. I bought a few. Very handy near a phone. The retraction thingie is only 1" square and ¼" thick, and has a clip like a tape measure belt clip. Cord gives you about 3'. Perfect for attaching to a clipboard.

i've seen those @ HD for some time. how easy are they to write with as the retractor exerts tension on the end of the pencil opposite to where it's held?

I've got some. While I wouldn't want to write long reports with one, having a pencil that doesn't get lost in a pouch or on top of a bench for quick notes or cut lines....totally worth it.

It's not that strong of a pull. If you get it out close to the end, it's still not strong enough to yank you off your feet.

I've got something similar that we used at work for security badges. The loop at the end works very nicely for holding the chuck key on my drill press.

My son used to help me do tile jobs and he got tired of me trying to find where i left my pencil. Sometimes it was near the tile I had to mark for cutting and other times it was near the wet saw. So he bought one of these for me to keep attached to my belt. Very handy and convenient.
