    I'm BAD!!!!

SWMBO has a birthday coming up on Tuesday. I won't say which one, but she is thinking about applying for her early social security!

She had said she wanted another Bichon. We had one that was a rescue of sorts. Holly had to be put down a while back and, as sweet as my Pit is, you just can't have an 80+ pound dog snuggle up in your lap. I saw an ad on CL Friday night for a 1 1/2 year old male Bichon. After a few emails the woman called me this morning. She is a newly single mom of 2 teens that just doesn't have time to take care of a high maintenance dog. Beth called me this morning and agreed to bring him to the house to see how he would interact with my Pit and us.

    Now for the bad part.

I went in and told Ginger she needed to be dressed because I had someone coming over between 3 and 4 PM. When she asked who, I told her just a girl I met on line through Craigslist.

No, I haven't met her, just a few emails and talked to her on the phone.

Everytime I came in the house I had to avoid more questions.

Made a quick run to HD and when I got back she had changed and asked if she was dressed good enough for 'this girl'? I said sure but maybe not for the friend she was bringing with her.

    More questions.

    Male or female?

    Male

Have you ever met this man?

No, and not likely you have. (I never said it was a man, she just assumed male = man.)

When Beth got here I met her in the driveway and told her what was going on. I kept the dog outside on his leash and opened the door and introduced Beth to Ginger. The fact that Beth was nice looking and younger than us didn't hurt the ruse....

After Ginger had moved her computer off her lap, still wondering what was going on, and Beth was well inside I came in with the dog and said this is her 'friend'.

Instant ballistic emotions and love at first sight.

After just a few minutes it was obvious we had a new family member and I broke out the check book.

He will get a new name, but it hasn't been picked yet.

That was a great ruse. I like stuff like that. The reaction is priceless. Enjoy your new family member.

Well, I am sure she forgives you for being BAD!! Or maybe now that she has a new male friend, she won't pay attention to you

                Don,
That's something I would do, are we maybe related?

                  Congratulations on E.D. (extra dog)
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.
