    Lost But Not Forgotten

Hi guys. After a lengthy absence I figured I should drop in and let you all know that all is well with both myself and my family. It's been a different kind of summer. I kind of moth-balled the shop for the summer months as I needed the space for storage for a while. Now that the kids are old enough to stay on their own( makes me feel old........er), LOML and I have had a few weekends here and there to get away on our own. We have been a couple for more than 25 years and this has given us a chance to rekindle our relationship. And here I go rambling on(LOL).

I've been spending some time behind the camera and really enjoying black and white photography. I found a reasonable outlet to print some larger pictures. It's just going to cost me an arm and a leg for the framing(LOL). Here is some of what I've taken.

    Port Stanley

    Dufferin Islands, Niagara Falls

    Belleview Beach, Wainfleet, Ontario

Thanks for looking. It feels great to be back.

Welcome back Rich. You apparently have been gone too long when you state that you will pay for framing... I see a table saw jig or two in your future plus a wood purchase

I too love the detail and clarity of B/W photos. My favorite is the last one!

Welcome back. Some great pictures. Did you take them with a digital camera, or with B/W film?

There should be no reason for you being away for so long unless the TARDIS has been in the repair shop all these months.

Thanks for the compliments friends. It feels great to finally get the shop cleared out and spin something on the lathe again.

Did you take them with a digital camera, or with B/W film
I took the pictures with my Canon Rebel XTi and a few different lenses. I switched it to B&W on my computer.

Where did you take the pics?
I have gone back and added locations to the original post.

Feel free to visit my photostream on Flickr. I love going back to see how my photography has matured.

Months? It's only been a couple of days for me

I just had a flashback to a couple of wonderful summers spent on the Rideau. Thanks.

Welcome back Richard! Great pictures and thanks for sharing.

I know you are enjoying your free time but I hope you put some time aside for the Hamilton Show. I really hope I can make it this year before it disappears like the other shows.
