Where the heck do these people come from?

This is staggering to me. I really have no idea how someone could even come up with this idea. Is this something that just pops in their head, or is this an idea that evolves over time?

pretty scary stuff especially since he was issued a badge, gun and maybe a stun gun. You never know if this was just posturing or if he was actually capable of doing this. One would have hoped that the screening process to become a law enforcement officer would caught this.

You can call me cynical, but I suspect this story is like many others in the NY times. This story seems to have originated with the officer's estranged wife contacting the FBI?

This paper has twisted facts in the past in an attempt to have their readers form opinions instead of just reporting news. That said, there are some creepy people in this world.

Hey, its NY City, did you expect normal??

BTW, when I worked for Newsweek, we used to say that their slogan should have been "All the news that fits, we print."

He may be creepy...maybe not. It might have been just a fantasy. Doesn't seem to be any statements from him.

And in at least one case, the officer used the National Crime Information Center to get information about a third woman.

And that is where he took it one step beyond fantasy and entered the planning phase of his sickness.
