Anyone convert WLM 2011 to Mozilla Thunderbird?

I upgraded the PC's to Win7 and Windows Live Mail 2011, which I do not like since it reformats emails with pictures.

I am trying Mozilla Thunderbird v14 and so far looks OK except I am having problems importing emails from WLM to Thunderbird. I did install the add-on but still no luck.

Just wondering if anyone else has done this.

I use Yahoo and Gmail. I stay away from any Win7 want to use. I like to have control of my the Email I send and receive. I also limit my seach engines to Yahoo and Google. To me there are to many of these things that want to take over my computer. I been able to import mail, contacts, and favorites from Win 7 IE9 to Google/Gmail with out any problems

I switched over to Thunderbird some time ago so my memory may be a little hazy. For what its worth, I had no problem importing addresses from Outlook Express or Outlook, but I do not recall trying to copy mail files.

Depending on how many you want to copy, your easiest route might be to send them to yourself with Outlook, but be sure to download the mail with Thunderbird.
