I hope I am not the only one to remember No Time for Sergeants and the toilet scene. I had always hoped to see that again on YouTube, and found out he died today.

He was a natural. The toilet scene was one of the great scenes in the movie.

That's sad. The Andy Griffith show way before I was born. But I loved watching the re-runs when I was a kid and still often catch them on late night. Probably watched every episode half a dozen times. Matlock was also a great show.

My 14 year old step-son is basically a good kid, but has some genetic attitude issues. Somehow, the Andy Griffith Show still reaches him and makes us both laugh like school girls. Timeless lessons 5 decades later...

I remember watching that toilet seat scene with my dad when I was a kid....pretty funny stuff!

I've probably seen every episode of Matlock and the Andy Griffith Show....some several times. I felt like I knew him. I'm sad to see him go, but am glad he was here.

Not only a great actor has been lost. He was one who believed in CLEAN entertainment that could also teach moral lessons ato kids.
