    Obituary

Have you ever noticed an obituary that is self-written is more meaningful than the "standard" ones listing born, died, survivors, etc.? This one should make your day:

That was good. I have seen several that the deceased wrote during their last days. These are generally what appear to be strong individuals that are ready to accept the end of thier lives. Many diplay tounge in cheek humor and the common theme seems to be, 'celebrate my life, don't mourn its end'.

That was very inspirational. One's last words can be a positive impetus for families and friends. Makes one think how an entire life can be encapsulated in a relatively short speech.

Very touching. I believe it was one of JFK's advisors who once told him, "a great man is one sentence. Lincoln freed the slaves. Washington defeated the British. What's your sentence?" (very roughly paraphrased)

What stuck out to me was August 19, 1996. He had a great day because he hit a hole in one. His day was so great, he remembered it for the rest of his life.

What were you doing on August 19, 1996? Chances are, most of us were around then (dont' know too many 16 year olds no this board). It's those little moments that are sometimes our greatest. Today, someone is having the best day of their life, somewhere - doing something they love doing.

August 19, 1996 was a Monday so this man was most certainly living the high life! I am sure I was stuck at school that day. Anyone else know what they were doing that day?
