Is anyone going to the Atlanta Woodworking Show? http://www.thewoodworkingshows.com/s...-32/index.html. I'm planning on going on Saturday March 10th and would love to meet some of my brethren!

I may go now that Peachtree WW has put up these coupons for use there, ,http://www.ptreeusa.com/show_admails...ta2%20copy.pdf -
Well free fiber drums, http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/zip/2877021838.html , + the coupon from peachtree means a lot of dust collection units available after the showComment

Tommy, I saw that CL post last night and had the same thought. I really need to get something like that to create a separator for the Delta I got when Lowe's cleared them out. Unfortunately, "life" once again gets in the way of hobby, and I won't be able to make the show. The "life" thing isn't something I can discuss publicly, but prayers and good thoughts for my family would be appreciated."It's a dog eat dog world out there, and I'm wearing Milk-Bone underwear."- Norm (from Cheers)

I went to it today, Waste of time and money compared to others in the past, hardly anyone(manufacturers) were there and other than the Peachtree stuff and Cag lumber really not much new to see. I wish I had just saved my 10 bucks and used it towards the 2 new, (GOT SOME MORE) drills to sell, this time for the $29 deal.Comment

Met up with Tom, it was nice to meet another online woodworker. Picked up my new rails from him, had to not be jealous of the new saw he's going to. Will have to take a look at them today and figure them out.
I didn't know what to expect of the show, but for some reason I came away expecting more. Peachtree was probably half of the exhibition space, and there was quite a bit dedicated to turning. Nothing against turning or turners, because I'd love to get into it someday. Right now, it's not important though with space considerations.
Was hoping to win that Powermatic bandsaw, but alas it wasn't to be. Although speaking of Powermatic, I took a risk and bought their riser block kit for $50 from one of the vendors. Since it will fit a Jet, I figure there's a good chance it will fit my Central Machinery. If not I suppose I could resell it.Comment
