Does anyone know if you are able to record from youtube? There's a child prodigy, Jackie Evancho, who apparently won Britain's Got Talent who I would like to capture for my own purposes. I once had a small program to record Google vids but it's got lost in a crash.

Yes, there are a number of programs that will capture YouTube and similar videos. I use Replay Media Catcher, from Applian Technologies.

I searched and found Audacity which has been lauded on threads in the past. Unfortunately, Spybot Search and Destroy stopped the download as malicious. I also came across applian.com, Larry, so I'll give it a go.

I use the free version of Any Video Converter for stuff like that. You just add the URL, pick what you want to convert it to, then click Convert.online at http://www.theFrankes.com
