    GA. Lumber Auction

I have in the past dealt with these folks at IRSAuctions and their OK to deal with, you just have to get their money to them in 48 hrs or less. I usually just do a wire transfer for another $25,. That being said you can get some really good deals at these online auctions. Last month I purchased 700 linear feet of 1 x 4 clear cherry to use as paneling in the "MAN CAVE" downstairs in the new home for a whoppin $80, fortunately the place holding the auction was a short drive from where I live here in Ga. This ones in Lilburn so I won't be bidding, but others here might want to try. One thing if you do bid place your highest bid in 1st then make your current bid as to avoid it jumping up as they sometimes will incrementally if you do it the other way around. Good Luck,Tommyt, , http://www.irsauctions.com/index_lot...tails&id=15369

I'm steering clear of them from now on. I've contacted them about twenty times to be removed from their email list, but I still get 10-12 a week. Had to make a 'dump rule' for anything coming from them.
I have a little blog about my shop

Check their auction calender for dates and locations.Chris sorry about hearin your having problems with them, but glad cause thats one less bidder I have to deal with. The last one I was in and they will be having another shortly was in White,Ga. just on the other side of the interstate off 411 and they had some incredibly good lookin lumber for sale at that auction. When I went to p/u mine the owner showed me some of the stuff coming up at a future auction, Nice african mahogany and if we had not already done our flooring some beautiful spalted maple flooring which I still might bid on. I figure 3-4 pass's in the planer will yield some spectacular 1/2 inch x 5 x 8-10 ft long pieces to put on our vaulted ceiling

What sort of internet service do you have?

Broadband (or at least most of them) allows you to have multiple emails. I ALWAYS set up one as a burnable address. That doesn't even consider some of what I can do with Linux (such as bounce the message back as not valid).

I strongly recommend that and things such as Mailinator.

Surprisingly, there does not appear to be. A simple zipcode radius search would be very helpful.

I have that as well, and give out the one that gets forwarded to my good Gmail address. I contacted them directly and used their unsubscribe links but it didn't work. With that and a couple of their email responses, they're all yours to deal with Tommy.
