    Time For A Gloat?

About two weeks ago, I got an email from a friend who, among many things, is a pro woodworker. It seems he had a load of exotic "scraps" that were destined for the wood stove when he though of my pen turning. Long story short-he cut them to size and mailed them off to me. The box arrived yesterday with 158 pen blanks! There's wenge, zebra wood, silky oak, yellow heart, lace wood, and a few other species. Looks like I'm going to be busy for the winter!

    Thanks Gord!

I feel there are lots of cool pen photos in this forums future! Looking forward to it.

          And: YOU SUCK!

Good friend, he'll probably get a nice pen out of it?

That is a great score. What a nice gesture. Just hope he isn't expecting 158 pens.

That's a double gloat! Once for a friend who thought of you and then for the pen blanks!

This is the only place that I know where it actually feels good to "suck". I picked up my latest order of kits today and it included some new( to me) pen styles. So I drilled out some wenge and glued in the tubes and I should be turning tomorrow night.

And to Turaj; I'm sure Gord has plenty more scraps to fight off the Canadian winter.

I know what you mean! For a few years now I have had a nice big red "you suck" shared by mudder (what ever happened to him) for a bowl I turned hanging next to my lathe. Highest form of praise around here!
