    I Had An Accident

I was speed reading and ran into a bookmark.

That's like a little ha,ha that might be said to break the ice, before giving a speech about reading and eyesight.

Grouch Marx would start off “Before I speak, I have something important to say.”

I knew a girl when we were in high school that was born blind in one eye (true story). She was a straight "A" student. She had an uncanny ability to speed read with exceptional retention. I don't remember the words per minute, but it was higher than most speed readers.

With sight in just one eye, her reading was not left to right line by line, but only on the center of the page from top to bottom. Truly a unique ability. I'm grateful for having two working eyes, and do all I can to protect them while working.

My workplace requires safety glasses to be worn at all times so it's only natural for me to wear them when I'm working at home. And also hearing protection.

Nice post, but your caption "I had an accident" started me with the thought of "OH NO!"

I'm glad you are okay and that the subject left me with a smile!

      Thanks,
