Gov't wants more wood from Gibson

Here's an update on the wood Gibson bought from India

I haven't look at it in depth, but from what I understand there are differing interpretations of US and India laws at play, and most of it is US officials interpreting India Law. In one radio report I heard a while back Gibson was not getting raw lumber, there was some minor milling done to comply with India Law. They ordered blanks, and got finished blanks. They didn't order a finished fingerboard.

Seems like an incredible waste of human resources.

Still interesting that Gibson is the main company getting in trouble. There bunches of other guitar and instrument manuf. out there that they aren't harassing.

The comments at the bottom are mostly political bashing but a couple of good points. It looks like to satify the complaint/suit Gibson has to eliminate the jobs of making the finished fret boards and outsource them to India.
