Its not much of an illusion to me, both mouth movements look different, and both sounds are different, the "V" doesn't sound like an "F". Maybe a different example would be better.

problem is, moving the mouth different ways, the sound is actually different. it may be close, but still won't be identical. The only way they could do this with any true scientific merit would be to have the sound being made by something that isn't making the movement.
In other words record the sound and loop it, then have the video of a person making the two mouth movements in time with the recorded sound. Then it'd be convincing.Mike

on the speakers I have on my laptop, I couldn't hear a difference at any point, but I knew what they were talking about. The method they were trying to use (through most of the segment at least) just didn't work for me.Mike
