FB apparently lets you advertise based on what people post or put in their status. The example I heard was for a wedding photog in the Twin Cities. Whenever someone in the area changed their status to engaged (or something like that), FB would e-mail that person a link to this guy's FB photog site.

I don't know how many discuss TSs on FB, but that could be a search item. I personally put "woodworking" as one of my interests in FB. I'd imagine many others have, too, but that's probably too generic.

I have to agree. FB and like sites will offer an immense exposure possibility. Personally I don't use them.

Finally got the site updated and uploaded. Give it a look if interested.
Would like to hear any feedback.
It is not quite finished yet, but much closer than it has been.
I am running a 10% discount for awhile that isn't on there yet.
I still have more videos and instructional material to include.
        Thanks.

There's also a way to link your Twitter to your Facebook page, and anything you type there shows up on Twitter five seconds later. I find it's an easy way to hit both audiences.

Take advantage of the hashtags (#woodworking, for example) on Twitter. Those will get you blind hits and followers you'd otherwise not reach.

I signed up to Facebook only because a friend posted pics of her newly adopted kids there. I might check in every month or two.

Amazes me how many people's lives revolve around these sites. Can't live without them and spend hours a day on them.

                  IMHO, get a LIFE!
We all have to go sometime, just not yet!

                    I tend to agree.
While I did sign up mainly to have a space there and the logos were already in the website template, I will have to know more about what it can do. It appears like it could become time consuming if one has lots of friends or interests.

Thats basically what I thought Forums like this one are for.

I know, those things are basically geared toward smart phones, etc.

To each his or her own.

Thanks for all the comments and info, Guys.

Hey, at least one person likes it so far.

What is funny is how folks accept "new technology" and then never wish to advance past that point. Some years ago this medium, forums or bulliten boards, was cutting edge. Then came Myspace and Facebook, then Twitter, and somewhere in the midst of all that cell phones became commonplace. Outside of business and older folks like us email is fading. Text messaging has also grown by leaps and bounds. Now Google+ is open to all-commers, not sure if it will be the next "in thing" or not. Progress marches on and smart money follows progress. I'm sure the real geeks amoung us could add to this list.
