    Math is Hard!

He was only going 26 mph over the limit . . . math was always hard in school.

Question: If he weighed 150 lbs. and hit a pot hole while going at his top speed, could he have broken the Wright Brothers first flight being airborne?

Kentucky has a 104 MPH speed limit?

Let's see if that makes more sense in KPH... nope. Furlongs/fortnight? Nope, not that either.

I think somebody got a break on the ticket.

Perhaps driving as speeds above 26 over makes the crime a higher classification, moving it from an infraction which is not an arrestable offense to a misdemeanor which is. That would be my guess.

Ah, yes... when the legal profession redefines math... like a convict serving multiple consecutive life sentences... BTW, good Dilbert strip today.

A typo : I think it should say 76 mph over the limit, as it should 55 mph on that road there. And yes, that should make it arrestable!

I think you are correct. The law is probably 26+ over the posted speed limit, and his actual speed was much greater.

              i.e. 90mph in a 70mph zone is a minor ticket, 96 in a 70mph zone is greater offense.
