I had a case in the Oklahoma City Federal Court, shortly after the bombing. The court was across the street from the Murrah Building. All the adjacent buildings were pockmarked. The area was fenced off. The fence was used as a memorial. Their were heart rending messages to loved ones. The hardest to view were all the stuffed animals for the little children that were killed.

The whole city was in shock. They appeared to be moving in slow motion. Even the bar in the hotel was morose. One of my court hearings had to be continued, because one of the Assistant U.S. Attorneys had killed himself that morning.
