    Google Chrome

Finally got tired of IE 8. Decided to try Google Chrome. I have managed to get a G mail account set up and a home page. I am very impressed with the speed. I was able to import my Favorites/Bookmars and will start working on importing my various email addresses or not. I can get my Yahoo email accounts easy enough so just might leave them as they are and start building a new Email address list. After I get Chrome to my liking I will set up my new laptop.

Tom, I've been using Chrome just about since it started and love it. That being said there are things that don't like to play with Chrome and you'll likely need to use IE (or another alternative) for those. For example, When I go to print shipping labels, Paypal nor USPS likes chrome for that. You can do everything else on those sites in Chrome, but the printing of label can cause headaches.

Thanks for the reply, I plan on keeping IE 8 around for emergency's. But so far I like Chrome, like not having to have separate spell check when typing. I like how fast it loads and the selection of gadgets I can have on my home page. I can remember when I had my Tandy 1000 DOS puter and how going "online" you could run up a $300 phone bill in one month. This is so much nicer

IE 9 is out on the 14th. The reviews on it are very good.

Never got into Chrome, looked too cartoonish. FF for me.

+1 on Chrome. However, I have also been using IE 9-Beta for awhile and believe it loads and runs just as fast as Chrome. The main reason I still use Chrome 95% of the time is that every so often IE 9 will seem to freeze for a little while then start working again. I have become pretty comfortable with Chrome so unless Microsoft can convince me otherwise I will continue to use Chrome as my primary browser.
I thought I was wrong, but I was mistaken.
