    harbor freight multi tool accessories

There are a few I wouldn't mind trying out, but they're getting about $13 each for some of the blades.

Do these ever go on sale (not a 20% off coupon, but an actual sale on these items)?
You don't need a parachute to skydive, you only need a parachute to skydive twice.

I haven't seen the HF ones go on sale, but Menards had their kits go on sale every once in a while. I've had no problems using them withthe HF tool.

I haven't seen the HF versions on sale yet. They sometimes get marked w/ a yellow or orange "sale" tag, but the price doesn't seem to change.

By the way, one big thumbs up for the variable speed HF version of the tool. I've had mine for a few months now, and for trimwork it has been an incredible addition. Also used it to trim some siding, and some inside-corner sanding. Tried a friends Freud and made me feel even better about mine (heavy and loud). Wood magazine left it out of their review this month. Suprising being that HF is an advertiser. I am sure it would have taken at least "best buy".

What does the VS version do over the single speed?

I've eaten through two of these now... so I'm sure if I should keep buying them at $35 each, or just bite the bullet for the Rockwell model. The Fein is still outta my price range.

Who sells the Freud model? I haven't seen that one.

I meant Fein and not freud - sorry about that. The VS model has a soft start, and seems a lot less "buzzy" than the single-speed. It also has a 2.0 amp motor over the 1.6 of the non-variable.

HF has put them on sale. I bought the round one for about $8, as I recall.

I use them on my Fein. BTW, that same blade is about $35 from Fein, so I count myself lucky. They don't last quite as long, but the price is right!

You might think I haven't contributed much to the world, but a large number
of the warning labels on tools can be traced back to things I've done...
