I feel like a character in "Lost"

I haven't been around much lately, I admit, but occasionally I would like to reply to messages. Unfortunately, the "reply" button no longer appears on any of the messages in any threads, even tho I'm logged on and the posting rules
    clearly state:

    You may post new threads
    You may post replies
    You may post attachments
    You may edit your posts

    What am I doing wrong?

    Norm,

On a few occasion, I have get problems on different sites, and on this one about every three months or so. Usually it goes away if I try a different browser, clear the cache in the current browser and or do a re-start on my computer. (Oh, I also run a fix permissions.) I generally don't do a shut down but once a month at the most (but I do put it to sleep several times a day and overnight.)

I did something to my primary browser (Safari) several months ago and it does cause a few problems at a few sites in which some buttons don't work or show up. I think it happened on this site a couple of times a few months ago. But a restart of the computer, clearing the cache and fix permissions, and most sites work.

I hope you get this fixed. I enjoy your input and comments!

Clearing the cache, and getting rid of the BT3central cookie should solve it. Sometimes logging out and then logging back in from the vBulletin side instead of the vBadvanced front page will fix it too

Every once in a while that will happen to me. It usually happens with forum installs running vBadvanced as a CMS page.

Well, I tried clearing my history and cache and still don't have any of the reply buttons on individual messages, but by switching to threaded mode I now have access to the "Quick Reply" space at the bottom of the page. Thank heaven for small favors.

. . . and I can't edit my own messages after posting, either. The quick reply window gets grayed out when I switch to Linear or Hybrid modes.

Okay, now I tried switching to IE 8 and I've got the reply and edit buttons once again. So the problem may be limited to Firefox in my case. More exploring to do.
Thanks for the support to now, guys.

I've been using Firefox on a Mac and sometimes it is a bit hinky. What do we expect for free???

I'm using Firefox in Windows 7 (Professional) and have no problems with either posting or replying. All buttons are there and seem to be working.

I have noticed, from time to time, that the use of an updated graphics driver sometimes affects the display and some items either don't appear or are written over.

But then, maybe its like the attack of the clones . . . . .

                  Regards, Steve.
